FAQS

When I fill out the application form, what happens next?

First off, thank you for considering me to be your designer! I have an application form because I want to ensure we are the perfect fit for each other on both ends.

After you complete the form, I will reach out to you within 1-2 business days to set up a free consultation call to learn more about your business needs if I believe I can be the right fit for you.

If your project is not something I can serve, I will contact you regardless and give you a highly recommended designer that would match your business needs!

What's the difference between the espresso on the go package and the laidback latte package?

I understand how sometimes it's urgent to get things up and running for your business. When that's the case, you still want to produce quality content on a critical timeline.

The espresso on the go package is for business owners who need a website refresh or a brand new one on an ASAP deadline. That means I solely take on your project within the timeframe to focus on helping you accomplish those goals.

The laidback latte package is for business owners who have more time to give and don't need the websites to be done in that short amount of time. This allows me to go through two revision stages with you instead of one.

What is a creative brief call?

This is the first initial call to the project. This call allows me to understand your branding, vision, and audience, guiding me to create a strategic strategy that will set the tone for the entire project.

This call sets the detailed timeline, the step-by-step expectations, and any other questions you have before the project starts.

What is the timeline based on?

When designing websites, I value quality and ensuring it is done correctly. Customizing an entire website takes time to create.

But the sooner the information I get from you, as in web copy, approval of revisions, and final walkthrough, the faster your beautiful website can be launched; yay!

How do you take payments?

I take payments through an online portal that allows me to send you an invoice and payment due dates.

I also accept zelle.

Can I pay in installments?

I understand it is a significant investment, so the payments are divided into three.

The first initial payment is a required non-refundable deposit you sign on as a client.

The second payment will be expected after the first revision stage, and the third payment will be taken before the final sign-off of the website.

Do you create logos?

Unfortunately, I do not. Logos are not my specialty for brands. I am intentional about providing high-quality design that I am an expert of.

I can always recommend you to a great logo designer!

What if I'm looking for a new color palette or fonts?

If you are a brand-new business and do not have brand colors or typography yet, I would be happy to help you select a color palette or font combinations for your website at no additional cost!

If you are looking for a full-scope branding identity service of typography, color palette, logo, watermarks, and branding guide, that is something I do not offer, but I can highly recommend a designer.

Why do you only use Weeknight Website to build websites?

Weeknight Website is a hosting platform for WordPress. I don't use WordPress directly because it doesn't have the full capability to design a website exactly how you want it.

I design with WordPress over any other hosting platform because it gives you the full capability for SEO and customization.

On WordPress, you can use a plugin called Elementor that helps you build it to become more customizable, but that is an additional cost.

Weeknight Website has no hidden fees and is user-friendly, and it's easy for you to take over when it comes to adding or changing things on your website.

I do not make any commission from using the Weeknight Website; as a designer, I genuinely believe in the product; it's affordable, and they have an amazing support team for any help!

After my website is complete, what happens next?

Then you pour yourself a celebratory drink and watch all the clients rave about the IT website in your industry!

I will create a tutorial library of videos to ensure you feel confident in taking over your site.

It's also not a goodbye, just a see you later! I'll always be happy to answer any questions you may have.

If you are looking for future edits, I charge hourly for any change outside our project scope.

What type of clients do you work with?

I work with any small business brand to a well-known brand in their industry. I specifically work with service-based brands, which means I do not work with any shops that need an e-commerce storefront.

The industries I work exclusively with are:

  • Photographers
  • Beauty
  • Bridal
  • Restaurants
  • Tattoo Shops
  • Online Service-Based Businesses
  • Artists/Creators
How long have you been a web designer?

I've been a web designer for six years.

Do you include web copy?

Web copy typically I do not include with my services. I can recommend an expert in web copy if you were looking for someone to write copy for your site. Having the web copy ready before the website design process is crucial for me to design your website.
